“Smells good, whatcha bacon?”
Things I learned: cardstock is much better for popups that using the book pages of an altered book. Gesso affects the intensity of watercolors. This page is a much bigger scale than one i usually work with, so I wasn’t sure how it would go, but it ended up being a very satisfying project. The bacon face is a little creepy, but that’s the way it goes sometimes. It seemed a nice idea to start the book with a cozy morning wake up scene. Plus, flipping pancakes is fun AND delicious!
