POPUPtober: Office

CUTober: Tombstone

You say "office" and "tombstone" and I will either feel an inexplicable hunger for microwave pizza, or I will yell "A Christmas Carol, of course!" This one is a bit busy for the scale, but it has the two sides of Scrooge: miserly businessman with Bob Cratchett shivering in his wools, bending low to read by a dying candle, and also the gift bearing cheerful man so eager to celebrate Christmas that he runs out in his robe! (Why is Bob Cratchett still working you ask? Because Scrooge just came in the door, of course. Why is Bob Cratchett's fire roaring and his candle fresh? Ugh, artistic license of course!) Crowding the space at the top are the three ghosts who visit Scrooge, each containing a vision. The Ghost of Christmas Past reminds Scrooge of the fiancëe who left him because he thought his job and money were more important. The Ghost of Christmas Present shows Scrooge how Tiny Tim is suffering. The Ghost of Christmas Future shows Scrooge his lonely tombstone. It's a bit busy, but then think of the chaos and crowd of emotions Scrooge felt that morning!
